Halfbrick Studios, the Australian team that introduced the world to "Fruit Ninja" and "Jetpack Joyride," have just released their third mobile game – "Fish out of Water!" As the name implies, the game will have players skipping fish across the sea in an attempt to see how far they'll go.
"We want to make this a vibrant, living world," said lead designer Luke Muscat. "Creating a whole cast of different characters, the dynamic weather system and social leagues resulted in an exponential level of depth to a simple, fun mechanic. Just the way we like it!"
To say "Fruit Ninja" and "Jetpack Joyride" weren't kid-friendly would be a bit of a stretch, but it's clear that Halfbrick is trying to appeal to the younger crowd with "Fish out of Water!" The visuals and music are all very cutesy and gameplay itself is extremely simple.
"Fish out of Water!" is available now for $0.99 in the App Store.
